A bit overwhelmed by the apparent size of the swell, rigged up, took ages because had to change harness lines again when decided to use new MK boom because I like it :)
Went out ok thru break, got out the back, swell much bigger than I realised, fell off. Then had to get used to rig recovery in swell, got up, bit of struggle, came back to beach. Thinks "this is crap, JG..." so headed out despite body saying "NO!". Ended up going in and out, enjoying ride back in, practising getting out and rig recovery. Exhausting but good fun, lots learned/remembered. Surprised how much way lost over large swell, I'm sure I've been out in that big before and not struggled so much. Suspect gusty and wind shadow from the island - can't be me!!
